Bioacoustics of Tettigoniidae (Insecta, Orthoptera) Distributed in Hakkari (Eastern Anatolia) Province

In this study, the male calling songs of sixteen species belonging to Tettigoniidae family distributed in Hakkari were recorded field studies and bioacoustic analyses performed. The analysis two genera (Kurdia Novadrymadusa) documented first time with present study total six (Bradyporus (Callimenus) latipes, Isophya hakkarica, Kurdia uvarovi, Novadrymadusa karabagi, Psorodonotus hakkari, Squamiana supericola) presented time. seven (Conocephalus (Anisoptera) fuscus, Pezodrymadusa indivisa, Polysarcus zacharovi, Tettigonia armeniaca, caudata, viridissima, Uvarovistia satunini) examined for from populations. addition, three (Apholidoptera kurda, Saga zebra) re-evaluated on new individuals. As a result findings, it has been determined that song are species-specific, have simple type, morphological hypotheses also supported by data (male song).

Descriptions of a new species of Tettigoniinae; Psorodonotus suphani sp. n. from Turkey were given.
